AzerCredit is currently seeking an Accountant Assistant for its Ismayilli sub-branch. Female candidates are encouraged to apply.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- To receive and process all invoices, expense forms and requests for payment;
- To verify calculations and input codes in to the accounts system in an accurate manner;
- To deal with daily transactions for the petty cash and ensure that reconciliations are completed on a weekly basis;
- To ensure all filing is done in a timely and accurate manner;
- To prepare cheques for payment;
- To maintain and update files for payment documents, invoices, purchase orders, requisitions, accounts payable and receivable, and correspondence;
- To locate files or reports as requested by supervisor or others; processes, photocopies, and files documents and records as required for record keeping;
- To purge files and records according to established procedures;
- To maintain and update records of fiscal transactions manually or on the computer;
- To post payments and refunds received to appropriate account or cost centre;
- To prepare journal entries for approval by supervisor;
- To check and verify such documents as requisitions, invoices, and purchase orders, and contacts vendors to correct errors;
Successful candidates should meet the following criteria; qualifications, knowledge and technical skills:
- Education: Accounting degree or diploma in accounting/finance;
- Experience: At least one year work experience in a related field;
- Knowledge of applicable legislation, internal standard acts, policies and procedures on accounting;
- Fluent in Azeri (preference may be given to English speaking candidates);
- Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word) and knowledge of accounting systems;
- Good knowledge in economic and financial topics;
- Good analytical and problem solving skills;
- Determined personality with initiative, perseverance and the ability to motivate and manage a team;
- Capability and willingness to take responsibility and highly developed sense of rectitude;
- Ready to comply and live up to and in accordance with the organization Ideals and Core Values;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Able to work as team member and to establish friendly relationships;
