Introduction:

SOCAR Gas Operating Company is a subsidiary of State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), and will operate an entity selling gas from Shah Deniz field on behalf of its partners.

SOCAR Gas Operating Company is looking for talented and committed professional for this position.
 
Key accountabilities:

•         Management of team consisting of 3 accountants
•         Prepare complex/ non-routine journal entries
•         Management and review of closing process
•         Managing daily accounting activities to ensure accurate maintenance of the General Ledger
•         Oversees accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
•         Provide training to new and existing staff as needed
•         Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
•         Assist with the Company's external audit
•         Dealing with different financial and accounting issues, as maybe required
 
Required skills/experience

•         Have more than 2 year of relevant work experience in a similar role
•         Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Finance and Accounting discipline
•         Good knowledge of IFRS
•         International accounting qualification is an advantage
•         Experience in oil and gas industry is an advantage
•         Knowledge of SAP or other similar ERP system is an advantage
•         Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
•         Proficiency in Azerbaijani and English

•       Ability to work both individually and in a team
•       Ability to handle short deadlines and multiple tasks simultaneously
•       Strong analytical and numerical abilities
•       Good communication and presentation skills
•       High integrity
