Overall Purpose of the Job :

 

The Operations Manager will be responsible for the day to day running activates in Operations department. To manage the Operations team to ensure the quality of services, materials, personnel and HS&E standards conform to the company and the client’s specifications.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

 

• Control Operations, rental of equipment to rigs and personnel to heliports.

• Ensure the highest possible levels of Health and Safety are observed in all company operations.

• Management supervision of line supervisors and delegation of work schedules.

• Responsible for instigating investigations into major incident/asset damage, serious/potentially serious and minor incidents.

• Responsible for Customs and logistics of personnel and equipment.

• Liaise with Sales Manager on equipment failures and offshore job related incidents.

• Ensure company operations deliver high quality service to company and clients.

• Manage forward planning for operations department and ensure resource plans are in place to deliver.

• Manage resource movements between locations to optimize asset and personnel utilization.

• Manage the staffing and development programs to ensure operational personnel are trained, developed and fully competent.

• Provide operational input into planning meetings for the Region.

• Participate in product and service development activity at an operational level to ensure an operational perspective is included and that the company remains at the forefront of equipment development and service provision.

• Work with other management teams on projects, as required, to improve, optimize and deliver maximum value and return from company operations

CAPABILITY PROFILE – KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, COMPETANCIES AND BEHAVIOURS:

 

• Knowledge of CRT best practices and regulations

• Experience in casing and tubular tools and working instructions

• Personal communication skills and ability to interact at all levels of an organization

• Extensive experience in oilfield services management.

• A proven track record in a similar operational management position.

• An understanding of international markets and activities.

• Knowledge of personnel selection, training and development processes.

• Working knowledge of CRT legislation and best practices

• Diploma certified / Educated to University level would be preferred

• Must be able to speak and write in English
