Essential duties and responsibilities:

 

- Planning, designing and implementing an overall risk management process for the Bank;

- Risk assessment, which involves analyzing risks as well as identifying, describing and estimating the risks affecting the business;

- Risk evaluation, which involves comparing estimated risks with criteria established by the organization such as costs, legal requirements and environmental factors, and evaluating the organization’s previous handling of risks;

- Establishing and quantifying the organization’s 'risk appetite', i.e. the level of risk they are prepared to accept;

- Develop and manage programs and policies to control and mitigate company risk; 

- Decision making process in all disciplines of retail, corporate and operational risks as member of Credit Committee, Risk Management Committee and Assets Liabilities Management Committee;

- Risk reporting in an appropriate way for different audiences, for example, to the board of directors so they understand the most significant risks, to business heads to ensure they are aware of risks relevant to their parts of the business and to individuals to understand their accountability for individual risks;

- Serve as a strategic partner with the organization by providing expert guidance and leading the overall risk management functions including insurance, claims management, and safety;

- Corporate governance involving external risk reporting to stakeholders;

- Conducting audits of policy and compliance to standards, including liaison with internal and external auditors;

- Providing support, education and training to staff to build risk awareness within the organization;

 

Requirements:

 

- University degree in B.S. or higher degree in relevant financial fields (e.g., Finance, Economy, Mathematics etc.);

- 5+ years of experience in risk managerial position in Financial Services or Banking;

- Deep understanding of financial services businesses and business drivers in general, their profitability dynamics and the regulatory environment in which they operate, including NBA regulatory requirements;

- Demonstrated competencies in risk management processes, up-to-date knowledge and familiarity with financial and accounting tools, as well as banking operations and technology;

- In depth knowledge of risk management methodologies gained from practical experience with assessing, documenting, validating, designing, implementing and monitoring risk management processes;

- Track record of effectively leading a team, through demonstrated skills related to planning, analysis, organizational development and decision making in support of business. A work ethic characterized by high integrity and behavior, which will serve as a role model to others;

- Ability to effectively work with people at all levels within and outside the organization, through a combination of communication, negotiation, coaching and relationship management skills;

- Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to think outside existing risk management practices/models and demonstrate foresight about potential issues and opportunities;
