In spring 2014 Sweden plans to open an Embassy in Baku with a view to promoting its relations with Azerbaijan. The daily work in the Embassy will be lead by a Chargé d’Affaires, while the Ambassador continues to be based in Stockholm. The Embassy is co-located with the Embassy of Norway in Baku.

These are your duties as local staff member of the Embassy:

Your duties include correspondence and scheduling of meetings with the Azerbaijani authorities, the diplomatic community and various stakeholders in the Swedish-Azerbaijani relations. The work entails frequent and close contacts with the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs in administrative matters as well as other Swedish organisations. You will report to the Swedish Chargé d’Affaires and work closely with the colleagues in the Norwegian Embassy, with which the Swedish Embassy shares reception and other facilities.

The Embassy offers a stimulating environment and opportunities to work with a variety of actors. With required attention paid to the administrative responsibilities, it is expected that you will also engage in more qualified tasks.

We believe that you have the following background and profile:  
- You have an academic degree
- You have documented experience from administrative work, preferably in an international environment
- You have experience of administrative affairs using modern IT equipment
- You have good knowledge of the Azerbaijani, English and Russian languages
- You are resourceful and capable of prioritizing and working effectively towards a goal
- You have developed an ability to communicate and cooperate effectively in an Azerbaijani and international context

Knowledge of a Scandinavian language would be a merit.
