Operations staff play a significant role at all stages of the exploration and production cycle - providing input to a project from early appraisal all the way through to full production.
Role synopsis BP
Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey Region (AGTR) invites qualified professionals to apply to Pressure Systems Team Leader role. The Offshore Pressure Systems Integrity Team Leader is part of the Integrity Management function in the Engineering Services function and is responsible for leading the pressure vessel, tanks, heat exchanger and pipework integrity management activity for the 7 Offshore Platforms. The team they will lead consists of Mechanical and Corrosion Engineers who act as the Inspection Authorities and they will manage the day to day activities of the inspection contractors Inspections Engineers, Corrosion Engineers, Data Management Technicians and Non-Destructive Examination Technicians. In this role you will be responsible for leading the inspection and integrity management activity providing technical leadership on pressure systems, vessels, piping, heat exchangers and tanks. You will be required to demonstrate excellent safety leadership in all aspects of work. You will be required to provide subject matter expertise on API Integrity standard implementation on topics like risk based inspection, inspection technique selection, defect assessment and fitness for service.
Key accountabilities
- Lead AGT Region Offshore Pressure Systems Integrity Team.
- Direct staff of up to 10 people and 40contractor staff deployed both Onshore and on the Offshore facilities.
- Be accountable for developing the skills and capability of his direct staff.
- Review the workload plans and ensure the contractor capability is optimised. - Be accountable for ensuring that all of the inspection activities are documeaccountable for ensuring the Inspection activity is planned to the required quality for safe execution
- Ensure Inspection activity is managed in the Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
- Act as a Technical Reviewer and Approver in Pressure Systems Management of Change activities.
- Be accountable for ensuring all inspections and repairs are completed by the required dates.
- Remain up to date on emerging inspection technology and techniques.
- Be accountable for proposing and managing the Inspection Contractor budget associated with the activities.
Essential Education
-Degree in Mechanical, Materials or Corrosion Engineer and/or current API qualifications
-Have Professional Body Recognition
Essential experience and job requirements
-10 years experience of Pressure Systems Inspection in Onshore and Offshore Facilities
-Minimum 5 years Leadership experience in Integrity Management including direct management of Contractors
-Experience of Leading Pressure Systems Inspection Programmes
-Experience of Leading RBA assessment programmes and Authoritative Reviews -Experience of Leading Anomaly and Repair Management activities on Pressure Systems
- Azerbaijani Citizenship is required
