Role synopsis

As Senior Completions/Interventions Supervisor you will be accountable for the leading, supervising, implementing and delivering flawless execution of safe, compliant reliable wells in accordance with BP Standards and Practices. You will be reporting to the Senior Well Site Drilling Leader when offshore and to the Well Interventions Team Leader Onshore.

Key accountabilities

• Lead delivery of safe and compliant New Well Completion and Well Intervention jobs.

• Performing regular Safety Discussions, Risk Assessments, Toolbox Safety Talks (both offshore and onshore

• Participate in accident / incident investigations (as required).

• Supervise rig site preparation for New Well Completion, Well Intervention, Well Test jobs.

• Execution of both New Well Completion and Well Intervention programs .

• Participate in New Well Completion pre-planning processes and provide technical input for programs (on-shore).

• Participate in equipment assurance processes, and service provider competency assessments.

• Coordinate and manage logistics for New Well Completion & Well Intervention equipment, personnel to rig.

• Measure and record information pertaining to sub-assemblies and tubing tallies.

• Capture job learning during execution phase.

• Communicate feed back about job execution to on-shore based Engineering Staff.

• Lead role with New Well Completion and Well Intervention equipment qualification process

• Lead role with equipment design reviews, equipment integrity assurance, yard trials, stack-up tests.

• Participate in pre-operation Hazard Operational Studies (HAZOP’s) related to New Well Completion & Well Intervention equipment

• Lead subsea & rig interfaces.

• Provide input to final End-of-Well Reports.

Essential Education

• Engineering degree

Essential experience and job requirements

• Minimum 15 years Oil and Gas Industry Experience

• Minimum 10 years Well Intervention / Completions Supervisory experience

• Valid Well Intervention Pressure Control Certificate

• Valid Offshore Survival Certificate and Medical

• Demonstrated Safety Leadership skills

• Demonstrated experience with Well Intervention jobs (including Slickline, Electric-Line, Coiled Tubing)

• Demonstrated experience of safe delivery of New Well Completions

• Minimum Upper Immediate English Proficiency for reading, writing and speaking

Desirable criteria & qualifications

• Valid Industry accredited Drilling Well Control Certificate for Subsea and Surface at Supervisory Level (International Association of Drilling Contractors [IWCF], International Well Control Forum [IWCF], WellCap.

• Demonstrated Completions experience of sand control and gravel pack operations

• Major Oil Company and or Major Service Company experience

• Supervisory Experience working Offshore
