That is why we offer you the opportunity to be involved in the application of leading edge technologies such as top-down reservoir modelling to manage subsurface uncertainties and Field of the Future techniques for real time data acquisition and management. Our engineers are essential to the creation of value for BP. Their involvement in technical consultancy, reservoir completion design and data acquisition recommendation programmes means they can impact on production operations and optimize plant performance.

Role synopsis BP

Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey Region (AGTR) invites qualified professionals to apply to the Reservoir Engineer role within Azeri Base Management. In this role you will support the Petroleum Engineers in the Base Management Team (BMT) in the completion of key Reservoir Engineering activities, and to enhance collaboration with the other Functions in the Reservoir Development Organization.

Key accountabilities Surveillance:

•Support Surveillance Engineers in following areas:

•Maintain Surveillance tracking spreadsheet;

•Completion of Pressure Transient (PTA) analysis (Production and Injection wells, well interference) and tracking of historical results;

•Maintenance of Integrated Surveillance Information System (ISIS)

•Support Petroleum Engineers and Optimization Engineer with optimization of cycling program and maintenance of alternative Gas Oil Ratio (GOR) estimation tools. Reservoir Performance:

•Implement Material Balance software (MBAL) for Azeri Field.

•Determine appropriate methodology and build work process for completion of pattern performance analysis in the Azeri Field.

•Coach Base Management Team's Petroleum Engineers on use of Material balance output to improve optimization and integrity decision making.

•Take lead on setting water and gas injection targets, working closely with Platform Petroleum Engineers, Reservoir Management Team (RMT), and Production and Reservoir Performance (PRP) Team. Support Reservoir Pressure Decline Management Team:

•Monitor adherence to guidelines contained in the Gas Management and Balakhany depletion strategy documents.
•Consolidate PTA results and pattern material balance to improve understanding of zonal depletion. Feed this data into injection target setting process. Integration and Collaboration across Reservoir Development Organization:
•Attend Surveillance Community of Practice (COP) meetings and coordinate input into these meetings.

Essential Education

Minimum bachelor degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline.

Essential experience and job requirements

•Minimum 6 years of experience as a Reservior Engineer
•High level of competence in PTA (PressureTransient Analysis)
•Strong analytical and Organisational skills
•Good knowledge of English Language,

Desirable criteria & qualifications
•Strong commination and interpersonal skills
•Ability to influence with respect.
•Good Project Management skills
