Role synopsis BP

Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey Region (AGTR) invites qualified professionals to apply to Maintenance Specialist role. The Reliability and Maintenance team is part of the “Operations Function” and has a region wide remit to minimise production loss and to improve equipment reliability/availability. In support of this the team is subdivided into a series of delivery teams focusing on:

• Maintenance Strategy Execution

• Rotating Machinery

• Automation and Instrument-Control-Electrical

• Production Efficiency Improvement As Maintenance Engineer you will report to the AGT Region Maintenance Strategy and Execution Team Leader and provide the linkage between the CMMS and the Platforms.

Key accountabilities

Maintenance specialist role is a key to delivery of maintenance performance and there is scope to support both the strategy and execution areas within the team. The intent of the role is:

• Deploy consistent planned routines against agreed performance standards

• Single point accountability for delivery of safe, compliant &reliable maintenance & ensuring implementation of R&M practices consistent with Upstream R&M strategy

• Accountable for effective execution of preventative, corrective and safety critical equipment inspections/maintenance to the 2 Week Plan

• Deliver safe, reliable operations the “Bp way”

• Lead validation of safety critical equipment register

• Participate in facility incident investigations

• Provide r&m input into equipment selection based on life cycle cost, reliability & maintainability

• Be accountable for in-year delivery of the r&m portion of the opex budget

• Be responsible for reviewing performance of 3rd party maintenance providers

• Manage spare parts inventory including qa/qc of materials and parts

• Lead benchmarking including identification of gaps between own r&m organization & other facilities within & across regions

• Be accountable for improving reliability of facility and optimize production

• Be accountable for providing resources to investigate all unplanned production losses; acts directly on breakdown losses or requests assistance from otl

• Provide input to, and challenge of, items in the tar work list in accordance w/ requirements of upstream tar strategy

Essential Education Unversity degree in engineering

Essential experience and job requirements

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience required

• Experience in discipline engineering & maintenance.

• Extensive understanding of the offshore working environment.

• Project management skills.

• Azerbaijani Citizenship is required.

Other Requirements (eg Travel, Location) Occasional travel offshore *LI-WRAP

Desirable criteria & qualifications

• Must be strong communicator with proven influencing and networking skills. Also have the ability to work in multi-discipline team.

• Demonstrated strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft office, Excel, and computerised maintenance management system (CMMS).

• A good working knowledge of tools used for data analysis.

• Knowledge of the Safety Case Verification process, Safety Critical Elements, Written Schemes and Performance Standards.
