Role synopsis BP

Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey Region (AGTR) invites highly qualified professionals to apply to Subsea Hardware Lead Engineer position. On this role you will be responsible for the Integrity management and operational regulatory compliance for hardware (trees, manifolds, connections systems, valves, fabrications) for all AGT Region’s subsea installed infrastructure as well as provide operational assurance and approval of hardware.

Key accountabilities:

The following relates to Subsea Hardware (trees, connections systems, valves and fabrications);

• Ensure implementation of BP Industry Standards, UK legislatory requirements

• Provision of training, audit, deviation approval, advice.

• Hardware engineering for operations and minor projects across Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey (AGT). Set Statements of Requirements (SOR) and assist with queries. Facilitate and attend Design Reviews, TRAPs, HAZOPs and HIRAs.

• Compliance with Intergrity Management (IM) standard.

• Support the wider Subsea and Wells Operations team inplementing the Intergrity Management (IM) standards.

• Technical lead for hardware contracts support in the region.

• Specifying system requirements for hardware equipment.

• Managing project linkage to contractors.

• Managing technical performance of contractors.

• Control of assurance process for delivery of AGT hardware.

• Supporting system Well extension installation, hook-up and commissioning activities.

• Integrity management of AGT subsea hardware.

• Determination of hardware inspection, maintenance techniques and frequencies in accordance with Generic Maintenance Strategies (GMS), current codes and regulations.

• Assess anomalies and excursions and manage response (eg. engineering, further monitoring, shutdown, investigation)

• Develop and present annual integrity assessment for Operations Division subsea hardware.

• Highlight requirements for new technology in AGT region and make strategic proposals to address these (including benefits vs cost and payback).

• Provide input to Integrity and Availability meetings.

• Liaise with Pipelines Engineers, Subsea Wells/well intervention/well integrity team, major project discipline engineers.

• Exhibit exemplary HSSE leadership to BP and subsea sector Limitations (not responsible for)

• Wellhead systems, guidebases, well intervention tooling

• Well integrity (integrity of tree inboard of the wing valve)

• Global Project Organization(GPO) project hardware

• Global subsea hardware

Essential Education

• Educated to degree level - Bachelor Engineering

• Chartered or Professional Engineer

Essential experience and job requirements

• In depth knowledge of subsea hardware design and operation - Trees, Manifolds, connection systems.

• Personal commitment to HSSE.

• Strong communication skills and deep understanding of analytical techniques. • Experience in hardware and installation.

• Knowledge of reliability and Quality Assurance (QA) processes.

• Azerbaijani citizenship is required.

Other Requirements (eg Travel, Location)

- Self motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication, to all levels in the organisation.

Desirable criteria & qualifications

- Experience with the design of subsea equipment.
- Experience with installation of subsea equipment.
- Postgraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Chartered/registered professional engineer
- Some offshore operational experience
