BP's Upstream segment focuses on finding reserves of oil and gas, developing the means to extract and process it and then consistently producing and transporting it to market. The largest community in BP's Upstream Segment, around 6000 people work in operations, essentially delivering oil and gas from the wellhead to the market. Operations staff play a significant role at all stages of the exploration and production cycle - providing input to a project from early appraisal all the way through to full production.

Role synopsis BP Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey Region (AGTR) invites qualified professionals to apply to a position of Lead Electrical Engineer. This role is the part of BP Global Operations Organisation reporting to the Region’s Reliability and Maintenance (R&M) Team.

On this role you will be expected to work across the fields of electrical engineering both hardware and software to provide support to the region.

Key accountabilities

As Lead Electrical Engineer’s your main responsibilities will be:

• Provide input to Electrical work packs from an Reliability and Maintenance (R&M) perspective
• Drive Electrical R&M standardisation at regional level e.g. engineering tools and equipment testing, safety practices, standard maintenance practices
• Analyse Electrical Key Performance Indicators data and drive improvements relating to reliability e.g. downtime due to power interruptions
• Provide the Region with wide electrical system healthcare and spares management contracts
• Be focal point for electrical engagement and resource planning (and other third parties providing R&M services)
• Monitor electrical equipment failure rate data. Implement solutions to improve reliability and analyse results of changes e.g. application of new technology and review repair strategies
• Conduct electrical obsolescence planning / system upgrades.
• Participate in annual area audits of single or multiple facilities to ensure electrical operations, design and maintenance processes are being followed
• Help to develop maintenance and safety procedures for work performance

Essential Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant technical experience

Essential experience and job requirements

- Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering
- Azerbaijani citizenship is required

Other Requirements (eg Travel, Location)

-Excellent verbal and written English language skills
-Lead engineering experience
