Position: Account Manager

Location: Baku - Azerbaijan

Reporting to Caucasus Region Manager, this role is responsible for leading all customer management activities at MasterCard in Azerbaijan and neighboring countries.


Key accountabilities:
Proactively identify the challenges and opportunities for growth and develop/propose solutions that establish mutual benefit to the customer and MasterCard
Execute the MasterCard Customer Relationship Management (CRM) discipline to ensure alignment of MasterCard and customer resources on programs and projects that support the achievement of the 'Value Driver' status with the customer
Support customer specific acquisition, portfolio management and new business activities, imparting best practices throughout, by leveraging MasterCard's physical and information based assets
Develop strong relationships between MasterCard and the customer across all operational functions (fraud, marketing, operations, acquiring, debit, and business analysis) and understand Member organizational politics
Leverage all MasterCard brand sponsorship properties and product management resources to deliver exceptional customer value
Responsible for all administrative and operational issues for the customer including planning and budget/expense management

Qualifications and Experience:
Good knowledge of demonstrating fact based understanding of payment card business issues
Extensive sales leadership, marketing, account management, and business development experience
Experience of managing cross-functional teams

Thinks in innovative ways to develop new ideas, products and services that capitalize on recognized and unrecognized customer needs
Identifies opportunities to expand the value-creation capacity of the organization and enhance the customer's loyalty and satisfaction.
Demonstrates insight into the ways in which industry dynamics and external environmental factors (e.g., other industries, competition, regulations, and market dynamics) will influence future customer needs and solutions
Must have the ability to facilitate divergent issues and ability to shape a road map to derive a solution to complex issues
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to be effective across culturally diverse internal and external audiences
Self-directed and motivated with excellent project management and presentation skills
Fluency in Azeri, English and Russian. Turkish preferred
Minimum Bachelor’s degree required, advance degree/MBA preferred
Open to travel as business required
