Job title Community Liaison Coordinator

The person in this position will be responsible to work with the Azerbaijan Exports Pipeline Operations, Security, Land, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) teams and other groups to assist the communication and raising awareness of the social and community development activities.

Community Liaison Coordinator will report to Social Team Leader and will work within Communication and External Affairs Department.

Key accountabilities

•Coordinate community liaison activities within the pipeline affected communities;

•Coordinate development and implementation of annual community consultation plan. Administer community consultation log and database

• Coordinate and report complaints and requests raised by the pipeline affected communities;

• Support the work of BP Community Liaison Officers and work of Public Information Centres in the pipeline affected regions;

• Provide inputs in budget planning for Social Team activities in coordination with Sustainable Development Initiative Performance and Reporting coordinator.
•Assist in contributing to the implementation of the social aspects of the Azerbaijan Exports Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS);

•Assist in planning and coordination of external and internal social audits (Community Liaison Management Plan audit);

•Proactively support raising social awareness within Azerbaijan Exports Pipeline Operations. This will include participation and facilitation of social toolbox talks, notice board updates.

•Support and coordinate Social Team inputs for internal & external reports and publications, draft letters, etc.

Essential Education University degree is required

Essential experience and job requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience in community liaison , project management in development areas within the international companies in Azerbaijan;
• Minimum 2 years of office administration experience

Other essential skills and knowledge

• Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills in dealing with external and internal audiences
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with a strong track record of delivery
• Readiness for frequent regional travel in Azerbaijan
• Fluency in English and Azerbaijani. Some knowledge of Russian is an advantage
