POSITION TITLE: Finance Assistant
LOCATION: Baku
EXPECTED START DATE: ASAP (latest from 20th of May 2013)
DURATION: Approximate 2 months service agreement with possibility for extension and flexibility of hours
Oxfam GB Azerbaijan office is urgently seeking a dynamic experienced person to serve as Finance Assistant to support Oxfam on finance related issues. The primary function of the Finance Assistant is to support and deliver Acting Finance Manager with day to day bank and cash processing and local government reports. Hence the candidates with corresponding experience are encouraged to apply.
SUMMARY OF THE RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidate will work closely with the Acting Finance Manager and support with preparing finance cash and bank books, recording the transactions, preparing bank statements, submitting statements to bank, preparing VAT, TAX and SSPF monthly and quarterly reports, partners’ reports check and other finance related issues.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum of 2 years accounting experience in local or international NGO sector;
· Excellent knowledge of local TAX legislation and accounting;
· Knowledge of English preferred;
· Must be capable of working both individually and as a part of the team;
· Excellent communication skills: writing, speaking and listening;
· High degree of accuracy and attention to detail;
· Computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and e-mail.
