Role synopsis
The purpose of the Discipline Capability Co-ordinator role is to increase Capability in the business through support to the AGT Wells Planning & Deployment Manager and Discipline Capability Leads in delivery of the technical elements of Capability strategic agenda for the Wells Function in the AGT Region. Delivery requires close partnership with their Functional HR Tag, Upstream Learning and S&OR to assist the PDM, DCL’s and VPDC ensure that “the right people, with the right skills, in the right place, at the right time”.
The DC Co-ordinator helps the PDM and DCL’s to provide a regional holistic view of the capability of the Wells workforce and allows them to act as local integrator for Resource Demand Planning, External Recruitment (staff and agency), Internal Deployment, Technical development programs (e.g. Challenge, eXcellence) and Technical Competence & Assessment. This will allow the PDM to provide assurance to VP Function on the overall technical skills capability level in their Region and to the VPDC across the wider DC Network. Their activities will support the delivery of safe, reliable, compliant, and sustainable wells whilst growing the capability of our staff.
Key accountabilities
Resource Planning & Analysis
• Partner with HR in maintaining accuracy of Wells SAP data
• Assist PDM and DCL in provision of technical support to preparation of resourcing demand plan, summarising requirements through use of pivot tables and charting software
• Track and report progress against resourcing demand plan, showing actual vs plan and comparison vs. P&O budget controls
• Co-ordinate issue and update of Wells org charts, using Org chart software to aid visualisation of organisational health.
Recruitment & Onboarding
• Maintain Wells discipline interview tracker for external staff and agency recruits
• Partner with Agency Resourcing team to maintain accuracy of Wells Agency database
• Consolidate demand for Discover GWO onboarding events serve as regional point contact to host and co-ordinate.
• Co-ordinate Wells staff announcements.
Talent Management and Deployment
• Maintain Wells PDP database, uploading regional PDP’s into central GWO.
General
• Co-ordinate monthly Disc Cap accruals report
• Co-ordinate monthly Disc Cap management report
• Co-ordinate updates of Wells e-mail distribution lists
• Co-ordinate approvals for all Wells visa on arrival requests – BP staff / agency and contractors
Essential Education
Bachelors Degree in Maths or Science Discipline
Essential experience and job requirements
• Demonstrable experience of consolidating and tracking resourcing demand plans for large organisations (300+ people)
• Demonstrable experience of regular (eg monthly) progress reporting plan vs. actual
• Demonstrable experience of maintaining electronic filing systems and databases
• Demonstrable experience of preparation of monthly finance accruals data
• Demonstrable experience of small events (up to 50 people) co-ordination
Other essential skills and knowledge
• Fluent in English
• Effective communicator
• Highly Skilled in use of Excel: charts, filters, data manipulation, pivot tables
• Skilful use of Powerpoint, MS Word, Outlook
Desirable criteria & qualifications
• Skilful use of Org-Plus organisational design software
• Knowledgeable of job functions and job types of Drilling, Completions and Well Interventions staff
• Knowledgeable of attributes of HR people data systems, eg SAP
