Senior Tax Specialist

Key accountabilities:

∙ To supervise preparation and submission of all monthly, quarterly and annual reports to the Ministry of Taxes
∙ To lead junior specialists and ensure on completion of day-to-day tax related tasks
∙ To monitor the level of compliance of assigned entities with the statutory tax legislation
∙ To arrange for regular communication with the accounting department as well as other departments for performance of job duties
∙ To assist the Finance Manager in tax planning and optimization issues
∙ Assistance in liaison with the state authorities
∙ To train and evaluate junior staff
∙ Performing other tasks as required

Required skills/experience:

• ∙ University degree in finance, accounting and/or other related business disciplines
• ∙ A minimum of 3-4 years of work experience in tax and accounting area is required
• ∙ Big 4 background with experience in construction, hotel and restaurant industry is an advantage
• ∙ Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of statutory tax legislation (both corporate and individual taxation) is a must
• ∙ Knowledge of 1C accounting software, e-filing and MS Office programs is mandatory
• ∙ Fluency in Azerbaijani and Russian, English (strong upper intermediate or higher)
• ∙ Good analytical skills
• ∙ High level of motivation and ability to lead the team.
