Role synopsis
External Affairs Advisor supports Communication & External Affairs Vice President and External Affairs Manager in managing BP’s relationship with the Government of Azerbaijan and other external stakeholders

Key accountabilities
As External Affairs Advisor, your responsibilities will be, but not limited to:
• Build and maintain working relationships with relevant external stakeholders in the Government of Azerbaijan and other external stakeholders
b. Manage correspondence with the Government of Azerbaijan and other external stakeholders c. Liaison with the Government of Azerbaijan and other external stakeholders on related issues amd prpjects.at the relevant working level on the issues within the Project Dashboard, Issues Management register or as advised by Vise-President Communications &External Affairs External Affairs Manager
e. Support the External Affairs Manager in undertaking desktop research and analysis across a range of external affairs activities
f. Provide support to BP’s project teams in Azerbaijan from external affairs perspective as required h. Support External Affairs team, including assistance with budgeting, reporting, review, coordination, correspondence, meetings, presentation development, notes taking, phone calls, and administrative issues
Essential Education
Minimum bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields: political sciences, international relations, business, management, linguistics, sociology, law or psychology
Essential experience and job requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in communications, government relations and project management with business or reputable local or international organization.

Other essential skills and knowledge
- Strong verbal and written skills in Azerbaijani and English language skill
- Good business writing skills
- Good working knowledge of MS Office applications
