Responsibilities:
Phone/visits client to update developments in the year and discuss with the assistant manager/ manager arrangements for the stock-take.
Responsible for Arranging solicitor's letters, new bank letters and any other confirmations - debtors and creditor circularization.
Consistently achieves deadlines and understands the commercial implications of actions relating to productivity, recoverability, fee income and client service.
Takes a proactive attitude towards project management of assignments and actively participate in the audit planning discussions to identify audit risks and appropriate audit strategy.
Establish audit objectives and develops audit programs including time estimates, plan of work and steps necessary to collect data and document findings.
Contacts the relevant assistant manager/manager prior to the period end to have an initial discussion regarding the assignment planned.
Accurately records time spent and documents reasons for overruns.
Ensures pre-planning meeting has been completed with supervisor if practical including assessment of fraud risks, criticality assessments and eligibility to act. Review risk and previous years audit programs try to reduce unnecessary work.
Completes and agrees a realistic budget and ensures that it is being appropriately booked onto the staff planner.
Ensures that group audit instructions are read carefully for referral clients and sends the initial planning documents.
Rolls forward schedules, file and financial statements and issues listing of information required to the client.
Arranges assistant managers, managers, senior manager, director or partner planning reviews i.e. schedules these reviews and diarizes for them and clears the review points on time and communicates to the client at least a week before about commencement of audit.
Conducting of audit assignments, adequacy of internal controls, and verifying compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
Produces client deliverables, specifically drafting sections of the report to management.
For referral client ensures that all the required annexure have been updated and sent within the due date.
Work on assignments to ensure timely completion of work papers and report drafts to ensure the completeness, accuracy, and objectivity of audit reports, and consistency with international auditing standards.
Adheres to the firms risk management policies and procedures, including being familiar with and consulting the audit manual.
Use a variety of data analysis techniques and alternative approaches to analyze agency performance and identify areas for improvement.
Communicates any issues relating to an audit with management including matters which arise during the audit which were not identified at the planning stage.
Addresses, discusses and advances conclusion in respect of technical and audit issues identified during the course of the audit.
Immediately informs assistant manager, manager, director or partner in case of any foreseen delays and agrees basis for any additional work to be carried out and ensures that the planner is updated accordingly.
Ensures the efficient use of appropriate software packages.
Oversees all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion.
Prepares work papers and drafts the financial statements.
Ensure Associates understand their responsibilities and receive appropriate on-the-job training/coaching.
Recognize and evaluate the materiality and significance of audit issues and recommend appropriate means for ensuring compliance.
Demands:
Minimum 3 years of experience in audit
Fully qualified chartered accountant (CPA/CA/ACCA)
Fluent English/Azerbaijan/Russian
Ability to manage stress
Salary: 1 500- 2 500 AZN
