ACCOUNTANT & FINANCE MANAGER AT MENZER HAJIYEVA COMPANY

Menzer Hajiyeva company, is a fashion brand specializing in high-quality, unique, accessories inspired by the cultural heritage of Azerbaijan. The brand gained recognition through its influence and transformation of a traditional silk headscarf called Kelagayi into a stylish and contemporary accessory, which became the signature product of the brand. We are looking for a dynamic and talented candidate to join our team as a book-keeper/accountant.

MANDATORY SKILLS:

• Working with book-keeping software (Zoho) (knowledge of 1C is a plus)
• Higher Education (accounting, finance)
• Proficient in excel
• Good written and verbal knowledge of English and Azerbaijani
• Analytical thinking, knowledge of tax and other legislation
• Excellent book-keeping and documentation skills
• Comfortable with digital tools: Required to check e-mail everyday and work with online banking.
• Relevant experience is a plus
• Team work
• Precision and attentiveness
• Love for fashion/interest in the product and brand
• Great time-management and organizational skills
• Good communicator

Responsibilities include:

1) Filing tax and pension reports and payments
2) Performing bank related operations, issuing invoices and tax returns;
3) Settlements with debtors and creditors, preparation acts of acceptance;
4) Book-keeping using ZOHO software
5) HR: Keeping track, issuing contracts for internal staff. Monitoring days off/calculating salaries based on schedule (using ZOHO) issuing salaries
6) Optimization of payment systems for efficiency & recommendations
7) Following-up with suppliers for payments
8) Making timely payments: Cash/electronic/bank transfers
9) Daily cashier duties
10) Planning, control & budgeting for expenses/payments
11) Weekly & monthly meeting with team and Menzer
12) Book-keeping for UK company and communication with UK accountant
13) Monitoring payments between UK and Azeri company & ensuring everything is carried out legally
14) Communication with Operations Manager and team (daily e-mailing)
15) Other job related tasks required by manager.
16) Being a team player and contributing to team culture and spirit
